Saffron in stigma
We employ no chemical products and no herbicides for the cultivation of our saffron in stigma, following the principles of biological agriculture.
Preparation: the harvest takes place during the night before the sun comes up, within few hours we remove the petals and dry the flowers. All this is made to better protect its organoleptic properties.
Nutritional benefits: rich of vitamins B1, B2, excellent antioxidants, rich of beta-carotene, powerful anti-inflammatory.
Employment advices: soak the saffron stigmas (about 10 per person) in half cup of hot water, allow to stand for at least 30 minutes. Few minutes before the cooking is finished add all the liquid, the stigmas and stir. Exceptional with risotto and pasta, but also to flavour vegetables, meat, fish and delicious desserts.
Storage: closed jar away from light and heat.
